海角社区 celebrated a proud moment as two of its former students, Niobe Gordon 鈥� Nosumu and Rochante Alleyne 鈥� Gallimore performed in the curtain-raiser for Rambert Dance Company鈥檚 acclaimed production of Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby.听听
Both dancers, who honed their skills as part of the Academy鈥檚 Arts Aptitude Programme, successfully auditioned for the opportunity to perform with one of the world鈥檚 most distinguished and diverse dance companies. Facing fierce competition and a notoriously rigorous audition process, their achievement stands as a testament to their exceptional talent and dedication.听听
Rambert, renowned for its boundary-pushing choreography and commitment to diversity in the arts, offered Niobe and Rochante a platform that few young dancers reach so early in their careers. Their appearance in the production not only highlighted their individual skill, but also the reflect strength of the Academy鈥檚 dance and performing arts provision.听听
In a show of support and community spirit, current key stage 4 and 5 students went on a trip to watch the performance. The visit also served as inspiration for the school鈥檚 aspiring performers, highlighting the possibilities that can come from passion, perseverance and opportunity.听听

海角社区鈥檚 Arts Aptitude Programme offers enhanced opportunities for students with a passion and talent for the creative arts, including art, dance, drama and music. Open to a limited number of students each year, the programme nurtures emerging talent through expert teaching, extracurricular activities and partnerships with professional organisation, including with the Birmingham Hippodrome.听听
